Herbs for stress?

I am wanting to look into a herb or something natural to take for stress. I am a working mother of a 7 week old and work 45 + hrs a week, and I am still nursing and plan to for a while. Also I’m on Birth Control. I know that I can’t take St. Johns Wart because it will mess with my birth control pills and make them less effective. I figure that there is something I can take to help relieve stress….. I’m thinking that if I can take vicodin after giving birth and still nurse, I can take an herb or something and still be fine. I will still ask the doctor about any suggestions any one gives, but I wanted some ideas, because I don’t know anything about herbs, and wouldn’t know what to look for or ask about. I just don’t want to go to the doctor and him try to put me on some prescription right off the bat ya’ know?! Thanks for your help!!

Green tea might be a good one to start with. I’ve heard that it is a stress reliever. Not 100 percent sure, but I’ve heard.

There is the Sleepytime tea (Bigelows) and it is very good, does not have St. John´s Worth. The best is Passiflora. Meditate, that is also good.
