So stressed that I’m starting to shake 24/7?

I have been so stressed with past month in a half with stress from work, money, bills, Christmas and everything else that I’m starting to become a nervous wreck 24/7. I’ve notice myself constantly shaking like I’m freezing when I’m not.

I can’t go to the doctor because I have no insurance and I can’t afford to pay a medical bill either.

What are some herbal or just stress relief tips?
I live with my fiance. I have sex. It’s not that.

I’m starting to have panic attacks and what not again. I haven’t had one in years until the other night.
There is a free clinic here, but I’ve already been and they say I’m "too"young to be on anxiety medication because I’m only 20.

I took a stress test on MSN this morning and was off the chart. I am self medicating, err relaxing with my 3rd Smithwicks a fine Irish beer.

you can try chamomile tea I guess, or mint tea. Working out might help for a while a day. You could try cognitive therapy (its pretty effective for depression related anxiety)

Is there no free clinic in your area?

I know exactly how you feel, this time of the year is always so stressful, christmas alongside all the other things we need to do and it’s all too much. I often get so stressed I feel nauseous and I shake. What I find can help is eating lots of fish (omega 3 helps you think straight), Try St. Johns Wort tea- it lowers stress levels, and is a herbal drug given to people with depression, who don’t want prescribed medication. I find this to be really effective. Also making sure you’re exercising daily and eating enough is important.

    I hope this helps.

Listen to some relaxing music, or meditation ( you can go on youtube). Or type in on google how to relax.
I stress out a lot too but I’m just 15( i stress about School big time because of honors classes, friends, family, etc), so I cant imagine the stress you have.
Remember that everything happens for a reason,
Maybe you should go to a doctor, but since you have the situation with no insurance, maybe you should talk to someone,
EIther a family member or a friend.
Lol, listen to the song "dont worry be happy"
When you are really stressed out and start to shake,
take a deep breath, and count to 10.
Here’s an article you can read,

Or if you dont like it, just look up some more on google,
Dont worry, we all stress out.
Something you can do, is smile more, or laugh more.
It helps me relieve a lot of stress,

have time to relax in the weekend. drink a lot of water and take a deep breath whenever you feel tired. when you feel like shaking, sit down and relax, clear your mind and also pray. it helps i tell you.

drink also chamomile tea it helps a lot for you to relax. stop thinking about your problems in a while. remember, you’re not a robot that you can do anything without resting.

don’t wait until you collapse when you don’t have a rest.

For me, work was 90% of the cause of all my stress.

Sounds like you are desperate for a break! Do you have any leave you can take? It will probably be a big help to just shut work out of the eqauation for a while if you can.

If not, sometimes a change is as good as a rest.

Breathing techniques can help when we’re anxious we tend to breathe shallow when anxious, try some deep breathing through out the day. Breathe in count 3 hold count 3 out count 3 and do that a few times at different times of the day. Also ‘St John’s Wort’ health tablets from chemist are good for mild anxiety and also a product called Rescue Remedy by Bach should be at chemist too.

Also find time to write a list to put things in order so you don’t have to keep going over and over in head, keep adding to the list as you need to or when you have time. Once the things you need to do are on paper it’s easier to go to that list to see what you need to achieve for that day or week. really saves you worrying about the same things over and over, cause you become confused and overwhelmed and that’s when anxiety sets in.

    Things that might help:
Hot bath, chamomile tea, lavender candles, massage, happy music… for me, I like to exercise to release the tension. It also helps get my mind off of the stress. Find a great distraction.

Also, do not forget there are things to avoid as well.
Caffeine (and all stimulants), and alcohol (depressant)

Seek help. Though some of the best advice can come through Yahoo… Find friends that can offer positive feedback. Check out a State College for free counseling to see if the psychology department offers anything. Find a pastor.

Still you cannot forget that these stresses exist but have confidence that you can remedy these issues. One at a time identify how you can minimize, accept, or effectively alleviate the stress. Identify those issues that are completely out of your control. Do not dwell on these because you just decided that you can’t fix them.

Eventually you will work through this trialing time. One step at a time. It will all work out.
