Our body is like an engine, but we create our own oil, cholesterol, acid, sugar, water and blood. Stress is one of a way our body use to create acid. Too much of this acid is bad for some of our organs, which are heart, brain, intestines, kidney, and liver. Although without stress, our body is automatically producing it's own acid but, only for it's need. That's why some people that's having a stressful job, stressful marriage, well, life, people who always worry about things, people that can't accept failure, their creating way too much acid in their body that poison their system. Then, with the addition of bad food, bad drinks, more acid are introduce to all the organs i mentioned, and that's how our immune system becomes weak. Then what happened to all those cholesterol, sugar, etc, that we also make, it will all become unbalance, and eventually will contribute to the illness that our organs can't fight. Death is the result. That is why, stress is also a cause for cancer. Too much stress, too much acid, makes us sick and can't recover. People that excercise a lot, and eat vegetables a lot, produce less acid because of the alkaline balance in their body. When people are in stress all the time, smoke a lot, they don't eat good vegetables, their ph balance which is our body also produce in the count of 7 to 7.5 becomes lower. When the ph in our body is low, the body is sussceptible to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflux, and other chronic illness. When they start to exercise regularly, change their eating and drinking habit to good, their body will produce good ph and their stress or acid producing capability will become good.
